No. You can register as a vendor as long as you have access to the products/goods you wish to sell online. Dropshipping is encouraged, meaning anyone can be a vendor on Edey.NG.

Dropshipping simply means offering goods that are produced by someone else, labelling them under your brand and selling them, without actually keeping a stock of the product. 

No. For now, vendor registration is free. 

When an item is purchased, the vendor receives an email confirming the transaction. Edey will follow up to enable fulfillment of the order and payment to the vendor. 

Edey Operations would follow up on the confirmed order to ensure that the most optimal and efficient delivery option is utilized.

 Edey Refund Policy allows for the return of selected items within 3 days of purchase and as a result, payment to the vendor is initiated only after 72 hours of delivery of the item.

Clarity of the pictures of products increases appeal and the likelihood of purchase. Edey Support Centers and customer service professionals can assist vendors with basic photography and SEO friendly descriptions to enhance the products appeal.

SEO refers to search engine optimization. A SEO friendly title helps to make products easier to find when potential customers search Edey.NG. Vendors are encouraged to use keywords to make it easier for customers to find their products. 

A SEO friendly description contains multiple keywords that help customers find products through the Edey search engine. 

The Sale Price is the amount of money the vendor requests must be paid for the product on offer.

The Purchase price is the amount of money for which the vendor has acquired or manufactured this product. This provision helps the vendor compute what taxes they will be required to pay on the order. 

This is the estimated cost of delivering the product to the closest regional hub in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kaduna, Markurdi and Maiduguri. Vendors should contact Edey Customer Care for the closest hub to them. 

Product tax refers to the percentage of profits or actual amount payable to the government as tax for each sale/ purchase. It is the responsibility of the vendor to input accurate figures and make the remittance to government when due. 

This is the lowering of the product sale price at the discretion of the vendor, by a particular percentage.

A featured products is one for which a premium has been paid to promote visibility for sales. Products may be featured free of charge for now.

This is a discount voucher given by the vendor to specific customers to encourage their patronage. These coupons can be used at checkout to gain additional price reductions on the order. 

Vendors can share links to their products to family and friends, especially utilizing the wide reaching potential of social media. 

Yes. ‘Guest checkout’ allows ‘walk-in’ customers to shop without registration. They will however be unable to rate and leave comments on their orders. 

Edey would notify customers on the status of their order, shipping and delivery timelines.

Edey would support producers with business planning and documentation to facilitate access to financial services and products. 

Edey Support Centers would build a database of manpower resources in every location with a view to linking producers with job seekers identified by Edey.
